Gibson Les Paul Junior Electric Guitar

Gibson Les Paul Junior Electric Guitar
$839.00

Gibson Les Paul Junior Electric Guitar; Sleek, simple and played by countless artists from all genres. The ideas for solid body electric guitars were really flowing in the mid-1950s, Gibson took advantage of this by branching out into directions to bring a wide variety of new and innovative Gibson guitars at various price points. One of these new directions was the Les Paul Junior single cutaway, promptly making it their best-selling guitar at the time. The Les Paul Jr has developed quite a bit of Street Cred thanks to it simple use of a single P-90 pick-up with volume and tone controls. The Junior has become a trademark guitar for many artists and legends including Leslie West, Steve Marriott, Keith Richards, Mick Ralphs, Mick Jones, Billie Joe Armstrong and Paul Westerberg. Gibson Les Paul Junior Features Gibson"s Traditional Rounded Neck Profile 22-Fret Rosewood and Ebony Fingerboard Vintage-style Wraparound Tailpiece Classic Dot Inlays One-piece, Solid Mahogany Body and Set-Neck Construction Gibson"s Legendary P-90 Pickup Angled Headstock Adjustable Truss Rod Nickel and Silver Alloy Fret Wire Nitrocellulose Finish The Gibson Logo Gibson"s Traditional Rounded Neck Profile No guitar neck profiles are more distinguishable than the neck profiles employed on the Gibson models of today. The rounded neck profile on the Les Paul Junior emulates the neck profiles most commonly found on Gibson"s iconic Les Paul models of the late "50s. As with all Gibson necks, it is machined in Gibson"s rough mill using wood shapers to make the initial cuts. Once the rosewood fingerboard gets glued on, the rest - including the final sanding - is done by hand. That means there are no two necks with the exact same dimensions. So while it still has the basic characteristics of the rounded neck profile, each neck will be slightly different, with a distinct but traditional feel. 22-Fret Rosewood and Ebony Fingerboard Ebony and rosewood has always graced the fingerboards of the world"s finest stringed instruments, including many of today"s Gibsons. The fingerboards on the Les Paul Juniors are constructed from the highest grade ebony and rosewood on the planet, and are personally inspected and qualified by Gibson"s team of skilled wood experts before it enters the factories. The resilience of these dense and durable woods make the fingerboards extremely balanced and stable, giving each chord and note unparalleled clarity and bite. The 12-inch radius of the fingerboard provides smooth note bending capabilities and eliminates "dead" or "choked out" notes, common occurrences on fingerboards with lesser radiuses. Rosewood fingerboards are available with the Satin Vintage Burst and Satin Cherry finishes, and ebony fingerboards are available with the Satin White finish.

Gibson Custom 1959 Les Paul Standard VOS Electric Guitar with Case

Gibson Custom 1959 Les Paul Standard VOS Electric Guitar with Case
$5,699.00

The Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard Vintage Original Spec model is the next step in Gibson"s journey toward perfection. The only major change to the Les Paul Standard in 1959 was the addition of the wider, fatter jumbo frets, which facilitated more dramatic bends. The real force of this change was not felt until the late 1960s, when rock and blues players like Eric Clapton, Mike Bloomfield, and Peter Green began to discover the fat, warm voice of the 59 Standard. This moment in history marked the beginning of the idealization of the 59 Les Pauls as the Holy Grail of guitars in the midst of professionals, collectors, and weekend warriors. All VOS model Gibsons are given an aged appearance by enduring unique staining, wet-sanding, and hand-rubbing processes. The result of these methods creates a visually stunning reflection of a well-cared for 40-year-old Gibson. Gibson Custom 1959 Les Paul Standard VOS Features 1-piece, solid mahogany backs. Not book-matched or weight-relieved Historically accurate neck tenon for superior sustain - you can see it extending under the neck pick-up Bumblebee capacitors (where applicable), and correct routing Historically accurate reproductions of original PAF humbuckers Tortoise dot markers on the side of the neck ABR-1 bridge and lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece Holly headstock veneer Period-correct stain and filler 100% nitro-cellulose lacquer finishes - no added plasticizers Custom Shop VOS Guitars Gibson has been producing solid body electric guitars for 55 years. Of course, the most famous of these guitars is the legendary Les Paul. In 2006 the Gibson Custom Shop released its Vintage Original Spec (VOS) series in honor of the instruments that have literally shaped the face of music today. The series consists of a 1956 Les Paul Gold Top; a "57 Les Paul Junior Singlecut; a "57 Gold Top in plain and darkback; "57 Customs in 2 and 3 pickup versions; "58 Junior Double Cut; "58 Plain Top; "59 Les Paul Sunburst reissue; "60 Les Paul Reissue; "60 Les Paul Specials in Single and Double Cut; an SG Standard Reissue; and an SG Custom 3 pickup Reissue. The production of these instruments is the culmination of 20 years of experience producing handmade Gibson Custom guitars. We primarily took on the challenge of re-creating the 3 most vital aspects of these legendary instruments: Look, Playability, and most of all Tone. In order to accurately reproduce the appearance of vintage Gibsons, the Custom Shop uses a combination of faithful adherence to our history and proprietary new processes and inventions. The hardware is left to soak in a special solution that transforms a brand new pick-up cover into a gently used historic jewel. The plastic and binding are painstakingly hand
